Digital Governance & Data

THE THESIS

Africa is the world's fastest-growing digital market and the most digitally colonised territory on Earth. Its data lives on foreign servers, travels on foreign cables, is processed in foreign clouds under foreign law, and is monetised by foreign corporations. The Berlin Conference carved up African land without a single African at the table. The digital carve-up is happening right now — and this time Africans are at the table, being served as the meal. The AR ends it. The AR owns its own data.
