The Food Security Catastrophe

THE FOOD SECURITY CATASTROPHE IN NUMBERS

$100B Africa's annual food import bill, for a continent with 60% of Earth's unused arable land · 282M+ Africans undernourished as of July 2025 · 167M Africans facing acute food insecurity in 2025 — 6th consecutive annual record high · $510B Africa's projected annual food import bill by 2043 if nothing changes.

Africa has 60–65% of the world's uncultivated arable land. Africa has 1,872 million people and a growing workforce the world needs to feed itself through 2100. And Africa is starving. As of July 2025, more than 282 million Africans are undernourished or food insecure. Famine was formally declared in Sudan and South Sudan simultaneously in 2025 — two famines at once, for the first time this century. This is not a drought problem. It is a governance catastrophe.

The Funding Doesn't Make It Real.

It makes it faster.

And stronger to combat harmful malevolent cybersecurity threats.
